After helping too many inexperienced boys (with heaps of confidence) write about girls, Kat thought, “....wait. I can, like, totally do better than this.” And so she wrote.

Inspired by all things feminine and queer, Kat seeks to find the humanity, joy, and humor amongst characters she didn't get to see on screen growing up. Her scripts focus on diversity, distinct voices, and the importance of identity.
